Meet Our Founder
Ashley-Lauren Elrod is a survivor-turned-social impact leader dedicated to empowering survivors and shaping policies that protect children and families. As an Advisory Board Member for the Chicago Children's Advocacy Center, youth leader, former children's caregiver and educator, and partner with the National Children's Alliance, she amplifies global efforts for the rescue and rehabilitation of those affected by abuse and trafficking.
Her Emmy-nominated, Cannes-winning partnership with Dove and The Kids Online Safety Act highlights her advocacy for mental health and child protection. A board-certified mental health coordinator and program founder, Ashley-Lauren offers trauma-informed healing modalities to those navigating generational trauma. Her platform for Maya's Magic Word aims to empower children and adults with tools that weren't accessible to generations past, helping to bridge the gap of BIG conversations in a safe, trauma-informed, empowering way.
